Alexandra Play Park was designed by John Moreland in the late 1990s with input from colleague Mark Gregory. It was commissioned by the then Penwith District Council and was carried out in conjunction with local architects Poynton & Bradbury, St Ives who designed the public toilets and project-managed the general scheme. The Victorian-style lamp standards were also introduced along the whole of the Penzance Waterfront.
